Perspectives and Worldviews

Individuals differ from the different world views they possess. A world view is all important in how we interface with everything in this world - people, work, passions etc. What is a world view?
It is simply an individuals belief in what makes him happy? The path taken to obtain happiness is a world view. There is gradation in happiness and different world views target different levels of happiness. A typical Indian politician thinks that amassing public money as individual property is the goal of obtaining political office and that will make him happy. 99% of human population is involved in pursuing all of the following 4 or a combination of one or more of them as - the four generic vehicles of happiness are - Wealth, fame, company of beautiful women/men, mundane poetry. A few percent of population is involved in pursuing establishing delightful relationship with God or supreme person as most satisfying happiness.
What are gradations of happiness? What are attributes of happiness?
Continuity, side effects are important attributes of happiness. Taking cue from Stephen Covey - "Begin with the end in mind" -> one has to target the following kind of happiness

- Happiness that doesn't end with time merging into eternity, A timebound happiness leads to misery
- The entity from which happiness is derived is always in possession by desire ad not by force
- The object has capability to supply increasing happiness

If we look deeply the above are not true for any of worldly pleasures like - wine, women. There is a point of saturation leading to anxiety of losing possession.
